A Day In the Countryside
Posted on July 23, 2008
This was a shoot that was so much fun the entire day. Everyone involved was incredible and we pulled off some great photos. Thanks again to my all star team starting with Dottie at Cheek Couture and Happy who’s awesome with the hair.
Emily, who usually styles my shoots, brainstormed most of the themes for our different locations. Everything was a collaboration and I love how everything ended up. Here are some images from our adventure!
This first theme was based off an Anthropologie type style:

Here are a couple images from our Grunge look:

This is our black and white with balloons theme:

And this series is my favorite. This is a formal theme:

Yesterday I put together an all star team of stylists, designers, and couples. These are just a few shots to get you excited for the actual shoot. Dottie from Cheek Couture did an absolutely stunning job on the makup and the famous Happy from several of the top salons, including Salon Gregory in Corona del Mar, always rocks it on the hair. Here’s a preview:

Ashley and Elisha Wedding prt 2

The structure of the wedding day didn’t quite allow enough time for our portraits so we scheduled a time for a day after shoot. We went to Mission San Juan Capistrano and got some beautiful photos. Here they are:
Jason Woodside Preview Post

At the end of last week I was hired as the still photographer for a short film/interview of Jason Woodside, a talented artist and great guy. This is just a preview of a post I’ll do once the film is edited and up on it’s site. Until then here are two photos:

Jessica and Nicks Wedding!!!
Posted on July 1, 2008
Lindsay and I had so much fun on Saturday shooting Jessica and Nick’s wedding. The day started out in a house full of about 15 girls + family members and stylists. They made a party out of everything. That energy built throughout the day and ended with an insane reception. Everyone had a blast and the dancing was entertaining to watch.
The girls at Cheek Couture did an amazing job on the hair and makeup and I had the pleasure of working with the fabulous Tami Jacobson from All About You Events who coordinated this beautiful event.
Here are a couple of my favorite photos of the day and then a great slideshow capturing the whole day!

San Fran City Shots on Film
Posted on June 28, 2008
I just picked up these two rolls of 120 I shot in San Fancisco and had to post a couple before I jet off to Nick and Jessica’s wedding today. I shot one roll black and white, the other color. I can’t decide which I like better.
I was just going to post a couple but love so many of these. Let me know what you think:

1 Year Anniversay in San Francisco!!
Posted on June 26, 2008
The 24th of June was our 1 year wedding anniversary and as a present to Lindsay, I surprised her with a trip to San Fran. She had no idea where we were going until we got to the airport. It was pretty awesome. I actually proposed to her in San Fran New Year’s Day under the Golden Gate Bridge so the trip had some sentimental value as well. We walked everywhere and then we wined and dined in the evening. A perfect get away! Here are some photos from the trip!
Here’s a shot of Lindsay walking down the stairs of our awesome hotel.
I like this shot of Lindsay in an old chair we found on the street
Then out of no where, this ninja (drunk at 10am) jumped out of a bar and tried to attack us. Then he wanted us to join him. I fought him off with my camera.

Jessica and Nick’s Engagement
Posted on June 18, 2008
I have the pleasure of shooting Jessica and Nick’s wedding in less than two weeks and we managed to squeeze in this shoot yesterday between all of our busy schedules. This location wasn’t our original idea but ended up coming out amazing!
We found a cigar shop and sat down for a smoke (they did at least). I absolutely love this first shot of Jessica’s ring.
Is this not the cutest dog in the world? She got tons of attention on this shoot.

And then we made it down to the beach for some portraits. The day was beautiful.

Cirque du Shea
Posted on June 16, 2008
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting the Cirque du Shea Event put on by The J.F Shea Therapeutic Riding Center at the Montage Resort in Laguna. The event was a fundraiser which raised $700,000 to benefit The J.F Shea Therapeutic Riding Center: dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through therapeutic horse-related programs.
Corporate Diversions coordinates, designs and produces the event which was incredible. Michele Holmen is the designer and is incredibly talented. The theme this year was Cirque du Soleil (aka Cirque du Shea).
The event starts with a cocktail reception and silent auction with live performers, then everyone moves into the ballroom for dinner, live auction and entertainment.
Here are a couple photos from the day.
